Davi is a specialist researcher in Applied Nutrition, a university professor, and a Ph.D. student at the University of Campinas (UNICAMP). The American Journal of Physiology published his master’s thesis, where he focused on the effects of exercise on kidney function in patients with chronic kidney disease. Davi was also on the research team involved in the Pro-Elderly study, which investigated the effects of strength training combined with various nutritional strategies in frail and pre-frail older people.
Some of the master's courses Davi has completed include Philosophy of Science, Quantitative Research Methodology, Cardiovascular and Neuromuscular Adaptations to Exercise, Nutrition Applied to Exercise, and Chronic Kidney Disease.
