Your Australian Privacy Rights and Disclosures

This section applies to Australian residents and is provided pursuant to the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs), as amended by the Privacy and Other Legislation Amendment Act 2024.

Your Rights

Access — request access to the personal information we hold about you. We will respond within a reasonable time (generally 30 days) and may charge a reasonable fee for providing access. If we are unable to provide access, we will explain why.

Correction — request that we correct personal information that is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete, irrelevant, or misleading. If we do not agree to make the correction, you may request that we attach a statement of your claimed correction to the record.

Opt Out of Direct Marketing — request that we cease using your personal information for direct marketing purposes. We will action this request within a reasonable time and at no charge.

Breach Notification — if we experience an eligible data breach that is likely to result in serious harm to you, we will notify you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) as required under the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.

Statutory Tort — under the Privacy and Other Legislation Amendment Act 2024, you may have a right to bring a direct legal claim against us for a serious invasion of your privacy.

Sensitive Information

Health information is sensitive information under Australian law. We collect and use your health information only with your consent and for the purposes described in this Privacy Notice.

If you are not satisfied with our handling of your personal information, please contact us at privacy@healthmatch.io in the first instance. If your concern is not resolved within 30 days, you may lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
